Priya Grewal (born December 11, 1989) is a British author known for her literary contributions across various genres, including fantasy, horror, paranormal, science fiction, and poetry. Notable works include “The Creator” (2022), “Towns of Darkness” (2022), “Poetry from Other Lands” (2023), and “The Desires of an Angel” (2023).[1]

Additionally, Grewal has published two book series: the trilogy of horror stories titled "An Anthology of Short Horror Stories" (2023) and the children's book series "Monster World" (2024).[2]

Early life and education

Grewal was born on December 11, 1989, in Middlesex, London. She spent her childhood in Hounslow, West London, UK, attending Grove Road Primary School and graduating from The Heathland School in 2008. Grewal pursued her higher education at University College London, earning a 2.1 in BA History in 2011.

Following her studies, she resided in various locations, including Bradford, Hayes, and Uxbridge, and relocated to Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, in August 2023.

Career

Grewal is a writer known for her works in fantasy, horror, sci-fi, and paranormal genres. She started her writing career in March 2022, self-publishing her first novel, "The Creator," on Amazon KDP.[3] The novel garnered attention and was published by Austin Macauley in August 2023. Following this success, Grewa has self-published several other books, including the psychological horror "Towns of Darkness," a poetry collection titled "Poetry from Other Lands," and a trilogy of horror stories titled "An Anthology of Short Horror Stories: The Courtyard, Your Best Friend's Wardrobe, and Demon in the Computer." She further expanded her repertoire with a vampire romance novel, "The Desires of an Angel."[4]

In January 2024, Grewal released a book series for children titled "Monster World," comprising three volumes: "The Red Diamond," "Nuisance to the Witches," and "The Gargoyle Servant." Her writing is known for its unique style and creativity, and she continues to publish new works through Amazon KDP and other publishing platforms.[5][6]

Before starting her writing career, Grewal held various positions in call centers and educational institutions. She started her career in 2012 as a teaching assistant at Victoria Junior School, followed by Cranford Community College. From 2015 to 2018, Grewal worked as a customer service agent at HMRC, Morrisons Utility Services Thames Water, and SUEZ. After a hiatus in 2018, she returned to work in 2022 as a receptionist at Harefield Practice before leaving in 2023 to focus on her writing career.[7]
