Powari Language : Powari( पोवारी/पँवारी) is a language of Kshtriya Powar(Panwar) Society in India. Powar are basically Prmar Rajput of Malwa, which migrated to Nagardhan near Nagpur of Vidarbha region of Maharsatra. [1] As per the Central Provinces Districts Gazetteers, Bhandara District, Ponwar migrated from malwa and their language Powari is the mix of language of Western Rajpuatana and some local languages.

In the " Linguistic Survey of India " Volime VI, 1908[2] by Shri G.A.Grierson, the it is mentioned that Powari is a language of Powars, who are basically the Pramaras of Malwa and their basic native place is Dhar, the ancient capital of Malwa. Powar migrated in valley of Vainganga in eighteenth century[3]. Now the population of Powar/Panwar is around 15 lakhs and settled mostly in Balaghat, Bhandara, Gondia, Seoni and Nagpur. The main mother tongue( मायबोली ) of this society is Powari and now they speaks their state official language also.

In Catalogue of Languages and Families : Glottolog has taken the report of George A. Grierson 1904, it is mentioned that Powari is the subgroup of Eastern Hindi.[4]. In Language Handbook : "Chhindwara, Betul, Hoshangabad, Nimar and Balaghat Districts" By Madhya Pradesh (India), H. N. Banerjee · 1956, The language of Powar(Panwar) of Balaghat is Powari. [3] Similarly in Language Handbook: Nagpur, Chanda, Bhandara and Amravati Districts[2] it is mentioned that the language of Powar(Panwar) in Bhandara (Include Gondia), is Powari.
