UAB "Vitardus" (trademark "Pipelinepharma" owner) is a Lithuanian based pharmaceutical company involved in the pharmaceutical B2B marketplace. It has a database of CTD dossiers from pharmaceutical manufacturers such as Medochemie, Genepharm, Tecnimede, Cooper Pharmaceuticals, Adamed, Medinfar, Adipharm, Galenicum, Rafarm, Chanelle Pharma, Substipharm and others.[1]

The business operates as a B2B e-commerce pharmaceutical marketplace. Allowing the connection of pharmaceutical manufacturers to distributors for licensing, distribution, technology transfer, and other deal types. Using a catalogue of pharmaceutical manufacturers, products, and businesses to match up companies.[2][3]

Pipelinepharma's functions in the licensing marketplace are 1) the qualification of listed parties, products, and business cases; 2) facilitation of confidentiality and commercial agreements between manufacturers and distributors; 3) organizing CTD dossier audits and registration process.

The business aims to reduce the amount of time pharmaceutical executives spend searching for products and negotiating agreements by moving the pharmaceutical licensing market online, directly connecting the buyer with the seller.[4]

In 2019 Pipelinepharma gained exclusive rights to out-license 100+ differentiated pharmaceutical products to European, South African, Australian, and New Zealand markets.[3]

History

Established in 2012 by Founder and CEO Mindaugas Zagorskis, a medical graduate of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences and a previous student of Vilnius University Business School.[5]

  • UAB "Vitardus" founded on the 8th of December 2010.[6]
  • Trademarking of Pipelinepharma on the 4th of April 2013.[7]
  • Featured in Startup Lithuania 2014.[8]
  • Received investment from Practica Capital in 2019, a seed and venture fund based in Vilnius.[3]

As of 2021, the Pipelinepharma database contains 30 thousand dossiers with the business employing 19 persons.

Services and platform

Pipelinepharma provides pharmaceutical licensing, mergers, and acquisitions (M&A) services to pharmaceutical companies. Using a database containing dossiers from different pharmaceutical companies to broker the transfer of assets and to promote M&A projects.

For pharmaceutical manufacturers, the platform is intended to help find qualified distributors in the different markets and to sign licensing and/or supply contracts. For pharmaceutical distributors, it helps to find new qualified products, compare commercial offers, and also to sign new contracts.

The Coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic has caused the closure of pharma events, conferences, and trade shows. Compelling executives to find new methods of sourcing, increasing the demand for online alternatives.[1]

The company has plans to differentiate itself from other pharmaceutical marketplaces through AI integration implemented through their industry search engine.[3]
