Paul P Mani (27th February 1918 - 8th October 2007) was the Food & Civil Supplies Minister of the State of Kerala in the Ministry headed by Shri. C. Achutha Menon from 16th May 1972 to 25th March 1977. He was instrumental in the creation of the Kerala State Civil Supplies Corporation Limited.

Personal life

Paul P Mani was born on 27th February 2918 to Freedom Fighter Mr. P Mani and Mrs. Ealamma Mani in Chottanikkara, Ernakulam District in Kerala. P Mani was murdered by Naxalite which forced Paul P Mani to give up studies & participate in the Quote India Moment. He joined the Indian National Congress in 1942.

He was married to Anna Paul and has 4 children Emmy Paul, Anu Abraham, Saro Mohan and Baiju Mani Paul.

Political life

Paul P Mani was a Member of the 4th Kerala Legislative Assembly. He was The Food & Civil Supplies Minister in the Ministry headed by C. Achutha Menon from 16th May 1972 to 25th March 1977. The Kerala State Civil Supplies Corporation was created under his leadership.

He was the President of Ernakulam District Congress Committee. He was Treasurer of Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee and also the Vice President of Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee. He was Chairman of Greater Cochin Development Authority (GCDA). Housing Colonies like Kairali Apartments in Panampilly Nagar, Ashoka Apartments in Marine Drive, Shopping Complex in Marine Drive. HIG Flats at Gandhi Nagar, Housing colony in Giri Nagar were developed under his tenure.

HIG Flats at Gandhi Nagar, Housing colony in Giri Nagar were developed under his tenure. Paul P Mani retired from political life in 1982 soon after he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. He died on 8th October 2007 in Kochi. He is survided by his wife and 2 children.
