Novel Jannusi, known professionally as BeatGeek, is a Swedish-Moroccan record producer and songwriter. His career took off in the late 2000s when he worked with thRedOne|e RedOne team. Together they produced countless hit-records for artists as Lady Gaga, Jason Derulo, Backstreet Boys and Jennifer Lopez.[1]

Career

Early life

In Stockholm, Sweden, Novel started out as a DJ at local clubs. By the age of 16, he got noticed by the famous producer RedOne, who later on became his mentor. Together, they have produced and written for artists as Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson, Akon, Brandy Norwood, Enrique Iglesias, Lionel Richie and Robyn, among others.[2]

Main Career

Along 2001, Novel´s career took off as he collaborated with the Swedish pop group, A-Teens. Futhermore, their album "Teen Spirit (album)" earned RIAA Gold Award that year[3]. The following year, 2002, Novels success was seen in the UK chart, with Rosie Ribbons. The song "Blink (Rosie Ribbons song)" which was written and produced by Jannusi peaked at 12th position[4]

Later on in his career, international collaborations were made with artists as No Authority, Kat DeLuna, Backstreet Boys and Lionel Richie. In Sweden however, he also worked with Darin (singer). His album "Flashback (Darin album)" peaked at 10 in Swedish Chart[5][6]

As for collaborations with other producers and songwriters, he has been involved with Max Martin and Rami Yacoub, who became successful with Cheiron Studios.
