Nickolas Wildstar (born July 26, 1981) is an American recording artist and libertarian political candidate. He was an independent candidate for the 2014 California gubernatorial election and a Libertarian candidate for the 2018 California gubernatorial election, and placed seventeenth in both.[1] He ran for mayor of Fresno, California in 2020, and for City Council in Fullerton Wildstar is currently running in the 2022 California gubernatorial election as a Republican, and has expressed interest in running in a potential recall election.[2]
Life and career
Nickolas Wildstar was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin Wildstar moved to California in 1999 when he was seventeen to work in the music industry. His major goal was to be a professional recording artist. Wildstar worked as a market specialist in Fullerton until 2019, when he relocated to Fresno to raise his family.[3]. Wildstar is married to his wife, Crystal. They have a son, Chancellor.[4]
Electoral history
2014 California gubernatorial election
Nickolas Wildstar first ran for office in 2014 as an independent candidate for Governor of California. He placed seventeenth with less than 0.01% of the vote[5].
2018 California gubernatorial election
The second office Wildstar sought was in 2018 as a libertarian candidate for Governor of California. He placed seventeenth with 0.2% of the vote.[6].
2018 Fullerton City Council election
Wildstar ran for Fullerton City Council in 2018 as an nonpartisan candidate. He placed third with 9.4% of the vote.[7].
2020 Fresno mayoral election
Wildstar ran for Mayor of Fresno in 2020 as an nonpartisan candidate. He placed sixth with 1.3% of the vote.
