Nick Terry (August 29, 1979) is an American literary and talent manager, film producer, and entrepreneur. He began his career in the theatrical marketing department at Buena Vista Pictures Distribution, (now Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures), followed by Paradigm Talent Agency working in the agency's mailroom and later becoming assistant.

Early life

Nicholas Terry was born to a American family in the San Francisco bay area town of Castro Valley, to William "Bill" Terry and Karen (née Owens). He is the youngest of eight children and named after the youngest character "Nicholas Bradford" on Eight is Enough. His paternal grandfather and grandmother are from Portugal and Italy, respectively. His maternal grandmother is of Irish, and Scottish decent; his grandfather being of Spanish and Sioux Indian. Terry attended Castro Valley High School from 1993-1997 where he was heavily active in student council and served on the Castro Valley Unified School District Board of Education as the Student Member (1996-1997), as well as competing in the Regional, State and National DECA (organization) competitions (Hospitality and Tourism).

In his Senior year, he lobbied to have Bill Clinton visit his highschool, however, due to his busy re-election campaign, House Minority Leader Dick Gephardt visited with then House of Representatives candidate Ellen Tauscher.[1]. Later that evening, Terry was a guest of the former President's and Minority Leader at a Halloween night campaign rally at Jack London Square[2].

Career

Starting his entertainment career at Buena Vista Pictures Distribution in 2001, Terry worked in theatrical marketing before earning his way into show business in the mailroom at the Paradigm Talent Agency in Los Angeles. He worked his way up from the mailroom to floating desks as an assistant before becoming one full-time. In 2003, he started working with long time talent agent turned manager Jeri Scott. There, he worked with such actors as Stellan Skarsgård, Alexander Skarsgård, Fred Ward, Gary Basaraba, Richard Gilliland, Charles Cioffi, Bruce A. Young, Mr. T, and Hedy Burress

In 2016, he started working at Zero Gravity Management, a talent & literary production company known for the Netflix drama series Ozark (TV series). His clients are feature film and television writers, directors and actors and have worked on many projects including Outlaws and Angels (film), Critters Attack!, The Boss Baby: Back in Business, Tab Time, Bugs Bunny Builders, DreamWorks Dragons: Rescue Riders, Fancy Nancy (TV series), Nancy Drew (2019 TV series), Almost Paradise (TV series), Shooter, and Raising Dion.

Terry joined World Builder Entertainment in the spring of 2022 as a Manager/Producer[3]. There he continues to work with writers, directors and actors along side Trolls (film) Producer and Managing Partners Dannie Festa and Marc Manus[4]
