Nazar Hassain Nazar Bhatti better known by his pen name Nazar ul Hassan Nazar[1] نذرالحسن نذر is a poet, writer, author, social activist and welfare worker.

Early Life

Nazar ul Hassan Nazar was born on 4th May 1953 in Nowshera Virkan, District Gujranwala District, Punjab, Pakistan. After completing his middle school from there, he went to govt Ataa Muhammad High School Nowshera Virkan, Gujranwala. He joined the Government at an early age and thereafter moved to city Sheikhupura where he started his literary and social activities. Although his father Mian Muhammad Hussain Bhatti was renowned in his area back at hometown for social welfare and was considered one of the finest chief is respective of repopulation during the split of India and Pakistan in 1947, locals accepted him as chief of the hometown and sole protector after God.

Nazar ul Hassan Nazar seems to exhibit that the same traits his father has: truth, patience and humbleness are key values in his life.

Career

A spirit of faith and vision of Muhammad Iqbal somehow had to to its way out in the form of Nazar ul Hassan Nazar with constant determination to revive the teachings of Muhammad Iqbal, He started his literary and social activities from city sheikhupura, Punjab, Pakistan in 1997 when he founded an organization named ''Sultan salah-ul-din welfare trust'' which was inaugurated by the caretaker Malik Malik Meraj Khalid former prime minister of Pakistan and Dar-ul-Aman (Nonprofit organization) which was inaugurated by Sheheen Atiq ul Rehman, former provincial minister for social welfare. The foundation stone of this Dar-ul-Aman was laid by Sarmad saeed khan as a SSP (Senior Superintendent Police) Sheikhupura in which Nazar ul Hassan Nazar started providing services of free medical dispensary and free ambulance service for the care of poor and helpless patients. This was the first NGO in the history of district Sheikhupura that had performed so well that it attracted hundreds of top government officials every month. The social and Public circles supported him in recognition of his pure spirit. Along with these activities in Sheikhupura Nazar Foundation Pakistan was established on 22 March 2004 in Allama Iqbal Town, Lahore which was inaugurated by Dr. Syed Azhar Hassan Nadeem (former Inspector general of police, Punjab). Then with the full encouragement and participation of literary, social and public circles upon this platform, Nazar ul Hassan Nazar started his literary activities of peace and education awareness in the society nation-wide with the help of books written by himself.

Literary work

Nazar has an authored four books (Imam-ul-Mujahideen[2] PBUH, Ehsaas-e-Ziyaan, Zad-e-Rah and Taloo-e-Sahr) in urdu literature and poetry. 3 out of 4 writings are recommended by the government of Punjab, Pakistan|Punjab, government of Azad Kashmir, Pakistan|Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan for public libraries and libraries of educational institutions.

Social work

Nazar ul Hassan Nazar has been working for many years to promote mutual trust and cooperation between the public and police for peace and prosperity in the country. All his literary, social and peace building activities such as (Role of Media and Police in our society-2013), (Our present Education System-2014) and free medical Camps to serve helpless needy patients are carried out via books. No donation or funds are accepted in these activities nation-wide. These activities are being closely watched by prominent Pakistani institutes, literary figures and senior police officials while the media has been publishing his services prominently for the past 25 years.

Achievements

Quaid e Azam Gold medal received from Syed Nasim Hasan Shah|Naseem Hassan Shah (former Chief Justice of Pakistan) acknowledged urdu writing author by Pakistan Academy of Letters|Pakistan academy of letters Islamabad observing his social and literary activities he was nominated for Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Pride of Performance award, Pakistan) in 2016[3].

Thoughts

Nazar ul Hassan Nazar wants to end illiteracy by promoting book culture among youth. His poetry is full vigor, optimism, purposeful, determination for the future generation (Dr. Nasira Iqbal).

What can a good Poet, Writer and Author give to his society other than a good book? there is no wealth for the living nations other than books.
