Nastik Nation is an atheist organization.[1] It is registered under the Literary and Science Society Registration Act in Kerala.[2] The term "Nastik" holds significance in Indian languages, where it translates to "atheist." In the context of Nastik Nation, the organization's name, therefore, conveys the essence of an "Atheist Nation."

Affiliations

Nastik Nation is an affiliate of Atheist Alliance International,[3] an organisation for atheism.

Publishing pursuits

The organization has translated best selling books like God Delusion and The Greatest Show on Earth: The Evidence for Evolution by famous atheist writer Richard Dawkins into various Indian languages, including Assamese,[4][5] Bengali,[6] Gujarati,[7] Hindi,[8] Kannada,[9] Odia,[10][11] Punjabi,[12] Tamil,[13][14] Telugu,[15] and Urdu.[16][17]

The organization has made the translation and publication of the complete volume of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle into prominent Indian languages, including Gujarati,[18] Hindi,[19] Kannada,[20] Punjabi,[21] Tamil[22] and Telugu.[23] The Sherlock Holmes stories are renowned for showcasing the deductive and reasoning abilities of its main character.
