Nafeel Ahmed (born January 11, 1987) is an American entrepreneur, innovator, influencer, and hospitality professional, with over ten years of experience in marketing and branding. He is the founder of Ibiza Lounge and Bar in Duluth, Atlanta. Ahmed owns and operates three other companies, including GA Slingshot Rentals LLC, ATL Boat Rental LLC, and Atlanta Connect LLC.[1]
Early life
Ahmed was born in Karachi, Pakistan. At the age of two, his family relocated to Queens, New York. Ahmed grew his interest in marketing and branding and developed social skills during high school. He was often regarded as the walking calendar for his ability to memorize the birth dates of his close friends and family members. Even before social media was a thing, Ahmed knew that distributing flyers and collecting emails and phone numbers to build a physical database of clients was an excellent way to market. He learned how to develop websites and make flyers for businesses on Adobe Photoshop at a very young age.
Career
In 2015, Ahmed founded Ibiza Lounge and Bar, a private event and party nightclub. Over the last seven years, through the consistent efforts of Ahmed, Ibiza has emerged as one of the most popular parties and entertainment places in Duluth, Atlanta.[2] The club operates through a strictly enforced code of conduct, which includes a dress code and an age limit of 21 for visitors.[3]
Ahmed also owns and serves three more companies: ATL Boat Rental LLC, a boat and jetski rental company; GA Slingshot Rentals LLC, a slingshot rental company; and Atlanta Connect LLC, a social media management company, which he uses to boost his business.
Before establishing Ibiza, Ahmed started his career marketing some of the top nightclub venues in Atlanta, such as Havana and Tongue & Groove.[4]
Ahmed has done several major concerts with renowned artists, including hip-hop concerts featuring 21 Savage, Gunna, and Gucci Mane; Latin concerts with Karol G, Natti Natasha, Jerry Di, and Bad Bunny DJ; and EDM events with DJs and artists such as Rehab and Morten (David Guetta's DJ), to name a few.
Philanthropy
Apart from his successful entrepreneurial career, Ahmed is also an active philanthropist. He has run several charity events throughout the years, including a food drive for local homeless shelters in November and a toy drive for Atlanta's children's center during Christmas. He also donates proceeds from the New Year celebrations in Ibiza to local homeless relief foundations.[5]
Personal life
Ahmed currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia. He has a younger sister, Ilsa Shaikh, and a son, Noah Nafeel. Ahmed is a fitness freak. He believes in maintaining a healthy diet and regularly attends the gym to meditate and practice yoga. He also loves to travel and explore other cultures. Ahmed frequently reads inspiring books and biographies of successful business entrepreneurs, a hobby that helps him stay motivated to build his character and business. He cares about the people in his life and works hard to make his friends and family feel special.[6]
