NEGO (born January 18, 2002) also known as Genc Avdyli is an Albanian record producer, songwriter, and singer.[1] He rose to popularity with the release of his hit song “Karma” in the year 2020, which amassed over 7 million YouTube views. He is best known for his songs Gianni, Monotonia,[2] FAJSOM, Forever, and Paranoja, popular in Europe and the Balkans.[3]
Life and career
NEGO was born and raised in Kosovo. He grew up with a passion for music and a pleasant voice and personality.
NEGO started his career in 2018 as a beatmaker and later as a singer. In 2019, he released his debut song, “Gianni.”
In September 2020, as a record producer and singer, NEGO released the music video “Bandita” in collaboration with Valo93. NEGO did the audio production for the song. Later in December 2020, NEGO released “Karma,” which became an instant hit garnering him widespread recognition and notoriety with over 7 million views on YouTube.[4]
In 2021, NEGO released another video song, “Tu E Lut,” which he composed and produced. He also composed music and published a video clip for “Ke Ndryshu.” Later in the same year, NEGO also released the music video “Paranoja.”[5]
In 2022, NEGO released various music videos, including “Baby” and “Fajsom.” In October 2022, NEGO collaborated with the notable artist 2Ton for the music video “Monotonia.”[6] 2Ton and NEGO composed the song's lyrics and music, and NEGO did the audio production.[7] The video has been a top-charting hit, with over 5 million views within a month of its release.[8]
With several hits, collaboration with well-known artists, and being featured in several leading media outlets and publications, NEGO is often regarded as one of the notable up-and-coming artists from Kosovo, recognized for his original and unique sounds.
