Morteza Ahmadvand (born 1981 in Khoram Abad, Iran) is a multimedia artist and filmmaker based in Tehran. Originally trained in painting, his artistic journey has evolved into the realm of video, with his works often reflecting the influence of his painting background. He holds an MA from Tehran University.

Ahmadvand's video pieces delve into themes of freedom and generational changes, incorporating painterly gestures that are evident in the visual characteristics of his videos. Notably, he served as the Art Director for the documentary "Radiograph of a Family."

His solo exhibitions, held in various galleries and museums, include "Becoming" at the Etemad Gallery, Tehran (2018), "To Become" at the Etemad Gallery, Tehran (2014), and "Regards Persans" at the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature, Paris (2013). He has also been part of the Venice Biennale in 2019.

One of Ahmadvand's significant achievements is the inclusion of his video installation "Flight" (2009) in the permanent collection of the Georges Pompidou Center in Paris. In 2020, his video installation "Becoming" was featured at the Aga Khan Art Center in Toronto, the Asia Society in New York, and the Houston Museum of Fine Arts.
