Monica Morgan (born 30 July 1971) is an American serial entrepreneur, public speaker, PR expert, and investor. She is the founder of The Pivotal Companies and The Burning Bra. Morgan specializes in student housing, leadership development, digital marketing, brand management, creating media outreach programs, developing media strategy, social verification, and other marketing services.[1]

Morgan has over three decades of experience and has worked with several corporations to diversify their sales channels, manage brand awareness programs, and helped them gain search visibility to get more traction.

Morgan’s vision of providing education programs to aspiring businesses has transformed her venture, The Pivotal Companies, to secure a strong market position. Morgan has worked with a number of high-profile clientele and is known to build close professional relationships with her clients. She was featured as Top 10 Entrepreneurs to watch 2020 and has also been nominated for the World CEO Award 2020.[2]

Early life and education

Morgan was born in San Diego at the Naval Hospital. Both of her parents were in the Navy, which resulted in her growing up in multiple places. Morgan later settled in Georgia.

In 1989, Morgan attended Texas Woman’s University, where he pursued a course in Business and Marketing for three years.

Career

Morgan started her career in 1990 when she joined Fogelman Management Group. She worked for two years with this firm in the Leasing department.

In 1996, Morgan joined Miles Properties Inc., where he worked for five years. During her tenure at this firm, Morgan was responsible for performance planning and training and was later appointed as the senior manager.[3]

In 2001 Morgan joined the University Housing Group as a regional property manager. She worked for six years with this group and then in 2007 joined Asset Campus Housing, where she worked for two years managing staffed student housing development in Murfreesboro, TN, apart from marketing.

Morgan in 2009 started working for Edwards Student Housing Management Company. During her tenure of almost two years at this firm, she oversaw an 840-bed student housing asset located near the University of Tennessee, apart from marketing and public relations.[4]

In 2012, Morgan joined Peak Campus, where she worked for over five years, assuming different roles such as business manager, national operations specialist, regional manager, and director.

In 2016, Morgan was appointed as the vice president of operations of Lett9r Management. She worked for over two years at this firm and then left to start her entrepreneurial venture.

Morgan founded The Pivotal Companies in 2018. It is a management consulting firm based in Braselton, Georgia. Her company specializes in offering operations, training, sales & marketing services to Asset Managers and Small Businesses.

In 2020 Morgan became a board member of RipeMetrics, College Food Network, and Exeedr.

Personal life

Morgan is married to Danny Morgan, and they have two daughters. Britt Taylor is 26, and Ashley Meador is 24. In her spare time, Morgan enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
