Mohd Afzal Parray

Mohd Afzal Parray or Mohammad Afzal Parrey is an Indian politician.
He is District Secretary of Communist Party of India (Marxist) from Kulgam district & is Currently the Chairperson of District Development Council for Kulgam district of the Indian State of Jammu and Kashmir (union territory)[1][2] He was unanimously elected as First Chairperson of District Development Council for Kulgam district by all the 14 Members of District Development Council on 06 February 2021[3][4][5].
Life
Mohd Afzal Parray was born on 22 August 1964 to a farmer family at Sonigam Village of Kulgam district.
Political Life
Parray has been joined the Politics at very young age[6] . During initial Joining with Communist Party of India (Marxist), he was kidnapped and was toured by Kashmiri Militants for being pro-India politics.[6] Initially, he was a Member of All India Kisan Sabha and Communist Party of India (Marxist) and later on became District Secretary in 2018 of his native District Kulgam district and a State committee Member of Communist Party of India (Marxist)[1] [7]. In 2020, he fought the Election of District Development Council from Pombai Constituency and later on became the first Chairperson of District Development Council for Kulgam district unopposed, which is equivalent to Minister of State in protocol.[8] [9][10] Besides Communist Party of India (Marxist), he is Prominent Senior Most leader and Member of Centre of Indian Trade Unions [11]

Parray fought first election in his political carrier from Pombai Constitunecy and won with a vote margin of 19.54% [12]
