Misión Cumplida (English: Mission Complete) is the first posthumous studio album by regional Mexican singer Jenni Rivera, released by Sony Music Latin on June 30, 2023. It is Rivera's first studio album, posthumously, in eleven years since Joyas Prestadas.

The album is made up of Rivera's old recordings which were remastered upon release, with most of the album's production done by Sergio Lizárraga and Pavel Ocampo of Banda MS.[1]

Background and recording

Rivera's youngest child, Johnny Rivera, had a goal to find Jenni's old recordings that were stored in her hard drive. Songs were found in the hard drive; covers of songs by Chayito Valdez, Lucha Villa, and Ramón Ayala and an unfinished recording of "Pedacito de Mí" were found. Chiquis Rivera, along with her sister Jacqie Rivera, who is the current CEO of Jenni Rivera Fashion, had recorded additional vocals for the "Pedacito de Mí".[1]

Singles

The album was supported by five singles, all being released posthumously. The first single, "Aparentemente Bien", was released on July 2, 2019, in honor of Jenni Rivera's fiftieth birthday, as the first single for Misión Cumplida.[2] "Engañémoslo" was released on February 28, 2020, as the second single for the album.[3]

"Quisieran Tener Mi Lugar" was released on July 2, 2020, for Rivera's fifty-first birthday, as the third single for the album.[4] "Motivos" was released on March 19, 2021, along with an accompanying animation, as the fourth single.[5] "Misión Cumplida", the album's title track, was released on November 2, 2022 as the fifth and final single for the album.[6]
