History
MindSalt was founded in 2006 as a SaaS platform. The company was founded in response to a surge in demand for workforce management software with the aim to develop web-based solutions to ease corporate stress and boost employee productivity. It also allows the users to use a single platform to track expenditures, budgets, project profitability, generate reports in a number of formats and charge consumers.[3]
The company puts great emphasis on transparency, access to data, and control. Users get notifications when the app is running and can choose what to share with their employer. They have full access to their data at all times.[4][5]

Time-tracking
With MindSalt’s time tracking feature, the users can manually enter hours or use the built-in stopwatch to keep track of their time. Timesheets can also be displayed weekly, bimonthly, semi-monthly, or monthly and are remotely accessible. This feature allows the employers to keep track of employee balances for vacation time, PTO, sick leave, and comp time along with facilitating approval workflows, timesheet reminders. This feature by MindSalt also offers a detailed report on the input in order to increase work efficiency along with providing access control to the employers to adjust permissions for employees or groups as per their needs.
Expenses
With MindSalt's web-based expenditure monitoring, employees can register their spending and submit receipts from anywhere, as the company's patented easy-to-use cost tracking software streamlines the cost reporting process and simplifies reimbursement procedures for the users. The users can also record receipt photographs and attach them to expense reports on this platform, which can later be approved by the authorities, eradicating the process of manual work.[6]

Team Management

To reduce the burden across departments, it facilitates the easy export of data from web-based timesheets and expense tracking software to other programs in Excel, CSV, or PDF formats.
Security
MindSalt uses 256-bit SSL encryption to transfer information between browsers and servers to ensure maximum security. To decrease the chance of data loss, MindSalt backs up user’s information every four hours and stores it in secure facilities in two different geographical locations.
