Mikael Shields is the founder and CEO of Acamar Films[1][2]. He is best known for developing and producing the multi-award winning animated series Bing, based on the books by Ted Dewan[3][4][5][6][7][8].

Prior to founding Acamar Films, Shields held positions at the BBC as well as EVA Entertainment[9], Atom Films[10][11] and Ealing Studios[12]. He has been involved with animated productions including Rex the Runt[13], Pond Life[14], and Hilltop Hospital[15]. He is an alumni of The University of Glasgow.[16]
