Mikhail Vladimirovich Galperin Doctor of Philosophy (also known as Michael) is a scientist, mathematician, founder of Almen Laboratories Inc, the first officially authorized and patented company in the United States that created a mathematical system and computer support for the detection and diagnosis of various types of oncological formations.

Galperin has created a unique library of computer images of breast Neoplasm and the BI-RADS mathematical system, which allows diagnosis to be carried out quickly and with a high degree of accuracy[1].

Galperin was born on August 7, 1956 in the city of Syktyvkar, Komi Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. In 1962 he returned to Moscow with his parents. After graduating from school, he was accepted into MESI (Moscow Economical Statistical Institute), with the concentration on Economical Cybernetics.

After completing the first course, he takes the academic break for three months in order to participate in the expedition of the Shirshov Institute of Oceanology named after Shirshov to Popov Island.

Simultaneously, with his studies at MESI, he is invited to the Shirshov Institute of Oceanology for mathematical processing of the collected material. This was the beginning of the scientific activity of Mikhail (Michael) Galperin, which continued until the end of his life.

In 1983 he started his work on his dissertation on the subject of physical and mathematical sciences, while working on his doctoral dissertation. His scientific articles and the dissertation itself were published in several countries. In the same year, 1983, the monograph "Applied Simulation of Marine Communities", published in the city of Berlin in various languages such as German language and English language.

The author dedicated his monograph to his parents - Professor :ru:Гальперин,_Владимир_Абрамович and Sofya Iosifovna Margolina.

In 1989, the family emigrated to the United States.

Galperin's career in America was successful. For several years Galperin was Senior vice-president of science at the California company, published articles,[2][3] made presentations, was invited to the White House to meet young scientists with Bill Clinton, he did not abandon his long-standing intention to implement his scientific ideas.

In 1996, Galperin founded the company Almen Laboratories Inc., which became his brainchild, with which he achieved success.

Galperin was a man of a wide variety of interests. He has studied Judaism, was an active member of the Chabad La Costa synagogue, and was fond of philosophy.

Galperin died on October 25, 2013 in the city of San Diego due to complications from Leukemia. He was surrounded by his wife, Beverly Johnston, his sister, Nataly Mushinsky, and his family.
