MembershipWorks is an American cloud-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) company headquartered in Dallas, Texas. MembershipWorks was founded in 2011 by Karen Kuah, Dennis Boyer, and Aikmeng Kuah and is best known for its award-winning management software.[1]

MembershipWorks aims to help chambers of commerce, trade associations, professional and networking groups, clubs, societies, nonprofits, cooperatives and other membership groups to digitize, automate, and streamline their business processes.[2]

As of 2021, the company operates in the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and other countries, managing over 10,000 accounts including AIA Connecticut, Chicago Sculpture International, TCWLA, TIFA, ACE Foundation, and others.[3]

History

MembershipWorks was established in 2011 with the aim to help membership groups easily add membership features to their website. The idea of creating such this membership plugin was proposed by the founder Karen Kuah who experienced firsthand how dysfunctional some membership systems could be. To streamline membership management processes, MembershipWorks was designed as an easy-to-use, cloud-based CRM platform.

Since its inception, the company has helped more than 10,000 associations, clubs, groups, nonprofits, and chambers globally. By using this membership management software, organizations have avoided workplace inefficiencies, member data inconsistencies, enterprise-level pricing, and missing integrations. This SaaS offers a reasonably-priced, all-in-one membership platform that is easy to set up.

MembershipWorks is compatible with WordPress, Squarespace, Weebly, WithoutCode, and other websites. Integration of the membership software into these sites is accomplished by copying and pasting of either shortcodes or code snippets. Featured member, login and event widgets are also available for WordPress. Tiered administration access levels are available on paid plans.
