Mehran Rowshan (born September 11, 1981) is an Iranian youth mentor and a multi F.A. qualified football coach.[1] He is the founder of Alliance Football Club, a home-grown, leading football academy in The Middle East. Rowshan was formerly a youth football coach for Arsenal F.C. Rowshan is the relative of Hassan Rowshan, the only Iranian player to score in the Asian Cup, World Cup, and the Olympics.[2] Mehran Rowshan is best known for youth mentorship, brain training, strategic thinking, and mindset conditioning.[3][4][5]

Rowshan exercises extensive authority over the Alliance Football Club’s operations, effectively making him the team's director.[6] He holds numerous coaching records and was nominated for the 2021 Sports Business Leader of the Year award.[7][8] They are the first Eco-friendly club in the middle east.[9]

Early life and education

Rowshan was born on September 11, 1981 in Shemiran. Since he was a child, Rowshan was inclined towards football. He was influenced by his grandfather and his uncle who were actively involved in the football scene. His grandfather was one of the founding members of TaJ, one of Asia’s most prestigious football clubs and his uncle, Hassan Rowshan was the only Iranian player to score in the Asian Cup, World Cup, and the Olympics. Rowshan started playing at an early age but unfortunately faced a severe injury that ended his professional football career.[10]

Rowshan did a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Administration. Later in 2019, Rowshan enrolled in a Development Course offered by athlete Raymond Verheijen in Portugal.[11]

Career

Rowshan's coach education took place in countries such as England, Spain, Portugal, and Holland. He was among the co-founding coaches of Arsenal Soccer School Dubai in 2009. Rowshan coached at Arsenal F.C., where he worked for over five years.[12][13]

In 2015, Rowshan founded Alliance Football Club, a competitive youth football organization for children aged 4-18.[14] Since its inception, Rowshan has mentored over 5000 players and given training on nutrition, psychology, brain, mental health, and decision-making.[15] He also created over 300 unique football drills to facilitate holistic development for athletes and enhance individual and team games. Under the leadership of Rowshan, Alliance has become one of the biggest football clubs in The Middle East.[16][17]

During his career, Rowshan has incorporated expressive developmental methods that aim at honing skills of the young players and empowering them, which led Alliance Football Club to become one of the most progressive organizations in Dubai.[18][19]

Rowshan is the father of Elina Rowshan and Yekta Rowshan. He is fluent in English and Persian.
