Early life and education

Bitton was born and raised in Manhattan, New York. She studied at The Brearley School and graduated from Skidmore College.

Career

Bitton is a digital photographer with over two decades of experience. She is widely recognized for her expertise in capturing evocative portraits of children, skillfully documenting their emotional and developmental moments. In addition to children’s portraits, Bitton is known for maternity shoots and family photography, where she utilizes natural light to create a surreal mood.[3]

She established Meg Bitton Productions, a learning platform for aspiring photographers. Through Meg Bitton Productions, Bitton conducts various online and in-person workshops, offering comprehensive instruction in portrait photography and photo editing. Bitton covers diverse topics, including intentional posing, light exploration, and advanced Photoshop techniques, such as curve adjustments, layer blending, and sophisticated retouching. Her flagship programs include "Finding You" and various Photoshop-based tutorials, including "Zero to Photoshop" and advanced composing techniques.[4]

Bitton has played a pivotal role in shaping the children's photography industry, sharing insights on crafting impeccably edited soft images. She has created various digital assets, such as crafted backgrounds, brushes, and overlays, that serve as a benchmark in the industry. The film is a thirteen-minute short shot in Santa Barbara, California, directed by Nathanael Matanick. The film narrates the story of a 10-year-old girl navigating through the foster care system after being separated from her home and younger brother.
