Max Zaharenkov [mæks zɑhɛɾənkov]; Russian: Макс Захаренков; born September 15, 1991), better known by his TikTok username MaxZaharenkov is a Russian-British internet personality, content creator and entertainer known for his TikTok video content.[1]
Zaharenkov became known in 2018 through making comedy videos on the TikTok app.[2] Later, he diversified his activities by publishing vlogs and entertainment videos on the YouTube platform. Zaharenkov’s TikTok videos, as of March 2020, have reached over 300,000 followers and over 10 million views.[3] Zaharenkov currently resides in London, UK.
Early Life
Zaharenkov was born on September 15, 1991 in RIga, Latvia. He is Russian descent through his mother. Zaharenkov has been filming and producing videos since high school. He was 18 years old when he moved to study in London. Zaharenkov subsequently enrolled at the Regent’s University London majoring in International Marketing. Zaharenkov worked on various film projects and commercials in London, until 2014, when he decided to focus on his passion of creating entertainment videos and created his Vine account.
Max gained a following in 2014, posting sketches on the video-sharing application Vine. He registered his YouTube channel, DailyMax, on July 4, 2014, where he started posting regular vlogs about his life and travel following the closure of the Vine app. But later he deleted his channel due to its inactivity.
Career
Vine
Zaharenkov made his account on Vine on February 12, 2014, when he saw that many of his friends had an account on the social media website. After creating an account on Vine, he decided to create one Vine every second day for the next thirty days. After the success of his first few Vines, he decided to continue with creating and posting new Vines.
TikTok
Zaharenkov posted his first video to TikTok, formerly known as Musical.ly, on December 28, 2017. He has amassed a following of 300.000 followers on the popular app. Zaharenkov splits his time between homes in London, UK and Riga, Latvia. Zaharenkov stated in a December 2018 interview that his native language is Russian; he also speaks English and Spanish.
Philanthropy
Zaharenkov is passionate in different philatrophy and charity activities. He participated in more than 30+ marathons around the world and ran for more than 10 different charity organisations included Naked Hearts Foundation in 2017 (total amount raised £300,000+) and The Gorilla Organisation (total amount raised £40,000+).
Personal Life
Zaharenkov splits his time between homes in London, UK and Riga, Latvia. Zaharenkov is fluent in Russian, English and Spanish.
