Maxwell "Max" Munday (born 24 February 2010)[2] is an Australian competitive swimmer and podcaster. He is the host of the podcasts Biz by the Water, Biz Audio, and Biz Politics, and has represented the MLC Marlins swim club in Sydney.[3][4] He has also completed media work experience with Australian Radio Network stations.[5]
Early life and education
Munday grew up in Sydney, where he attended Trinity Grammar School in Summer Hill, before briefly spending two months at Rosebank College in Rydalmere.[6][7]
He first showed talent for swimming during elementary school. In 2021, he placed second in his school swimming championship in the under-11 category.[6] During secondary school, he continued competing as part of the Rosebank College swimming team. In 2025, he achieved second place in the 15-year-old boys’ event at the NSW Catholic Colleges Competition.[7] At the State Catholic Festival of Sport in Sydney, he won two silver medals and one bronze medal in his age category.[7]

Swimming career
Munday is a member of the MLC Marlins swimming club.[4] In the older junior age categories, he has competed at both state and national-level competitions.
At the Australian Age Championships, Max Munday qualified to compete for the MLC Marlins after achieving the required entry times.[4] He recorded a time of 33.16 seconds in the 50-metre breaststroke event and also competed in the butterfly and freestyle sprint events.[4]
Media career
Munday is active as a media creator and podcast host. He is the founder of multiple podcasts produced under The Biz Network that include Biz Audio, Biz by the Water and Biz Politics.[5] Munday is also creator of The Lockdown Biz on YouTube.
In 2024, Munday, and his podcast Biz by the Water, was a Finalist in the Radio Today AU/NZ Podcast Awards, for the Best Sports Podcast category.[8]
In 2026, Munday was announced as a Finalist in the Inaugural 2026 Australian Audio Awards, for his Podcast Biz Audio, in the Best Interview Podcast - Independent category.[9] [10]
