Mason Monahan is an American entrepreneur based in Durham, North Carolina. He is the founder and CEO of Interior Designer, an online directory connecting interior designers and clients.[1] His achievements as a 12-year-old founder have been recognized by various media outlets such as Forbes, Entrepreneur, Inc., CEO Weekly, and Tech Times.[2]

Born and raised in Durham, North Carolina, Monahan is a seventh-grade student at Sterling Montessori Academy.

Career

Mason Monahan is the Founder and CEO of InteriorDesigner.org, the world's largest Interior Design Directory. Driven by his passion for entrepreneurship and design, Mason created the InteriorDesigner.org platform in 2023 to seamlessly connect clients with the best interior design talent in the world.[3] The platform aims to serve both interior designers seeking clients and consumers in search of quality design services.[4]

Interior Designer offers a centralized platform for interior designers and clients to connect and collaborate.[5] It offers straightforward navigation for individuals seeking local interior designers. Users can refine searches by categories like kitchen designers or retail store designers, accessing portfolios, videos, and reviews while engaging securely via the chat tool.[6]

The platform empowers interior designers to broaden their reach. They can construct comprehensive profiles featuring images, awards, project visuals, videos, reviews, blog posts, and links to social media and websites, providing an all-encompassing marketing asset.[7]

It has rapidly expanded to include a global network of over 500 design experts that seek to get in front of the 130,000 potential new clients that search for an interior designer every month.[8][9]

Mason manages 3 full time employees while still dedicating time to his middle school education in North Carolina and nurturing his burgeoning start-up.[10] His dream is to inspire other young entrepreneurs to elevate their passions into purposeful startups that make the world a better place.

Philanthropy

Monahan donates 10% of the proceeds from his interior design startup InteriorDesigner.org to The Wounded Warrior Project, a veteran's charity. Mason does so to honor those injured in service of our country and the sacrifices of those who did not return home.[11]

Monahan was moved to support Wounded Warrior because of his great grandfather's service in World War II under General Patton. His great grandfather fought in the Battle of the Bulge and liberated a NAZI concentration camp.
