Martin Helda is a real estate investor and entrepreneur based in San Jose, California.[1] He founded All Bay Area Floors, a commercial flooring firm specializing in carpet, hardwood, resilient flooring, laminate, concrete, and linoleum.[2] Helda also owns and operates Bay Area Concrete Polishing, which specializes in concrete floor polishing.[3][4]
Early life and education
Helda was born and raised in the Californian city of San Jose. He went to Willow Glenn High School, where he developed an interest in entrepreneurship. Helda began his first apprenticeship at the age of fifteen. He progressed through the ranks until he was a supervisor by the age of 20, and by the age of 21, he had passed the California State Contractors License Exam, becoming one of the state's youngest to do so.
Career
Helda started his career in 2009 when he started his first business venture, All Bay Area Floors, a commercial flooring company. Within a decade, Helda has grown his business exponentially, becoming the largest non-union flooring company in the Bay Area with over 60 employees. In 2021, Helda launched his second company, Bay Area Concrete Polishing, which focuses on the polishing of concrete floors.[5]
Apart from successfully running his businesses, Helda is also an avid philanthropist and is dedicated to helping the youth of the country become entrepreneurs by addressing the common challenges that come along in the field. For this, he started the Martin Helda Scholarship for Entrepreneurs in 2022 which provides scholarship funding to students who plan on starting their own business when they finish their education.[6][7][8]
Personal life
Helda is a classic automobile enthusiast who is actively rebuilding Mustangs. He also enjoys participating in sports with his children and spending precious time with them on family holidays.
