Marriam Mossalli is a Saudi Arabian businesswoman and entrepreneur. She is the founder of Niche Arabia, an award-winning luxury communications and marketing agency based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Biography

Marriam was born in Sri Lanka, and spent her childhood as a third-culture kid, moving frequently. She was born to an American mother, and a Saudi father. She attended George Washington University, where she graduated with honors with a degree in psychology. After graduating, she established her roots in Saudi Arabia and committed herself to a career that would help dispel myths and promote the reputation of her country.

Career

Marriam began her career as an editor-journalist, shortly after graduating from the George Washington University, by establishing the "Life & Style" section of Arab News, and has regularly contributed to international periodicals such as Harper's Bazaar Arabia[1], Marie Claire Arabia[2], and Hia magazine[3].

Under Marriam's guidance, Niche Arabia has garnered contracts with major players in the Saudi tourism and culture industries, such as the Saudi Tourism Authority and the Ministry of Culture from the public secotr, as well as Mercedes Benz and MDL Beast from the private sector. Notable marketing projects include Formula One Jeddah, the MDL Beast festival, and the Red Sea Film Festival.

Marriam has been interviewed by the likes of CNN, Al Arabiya, and MBC, and continues to be called upon for her extensive knowledge of the luxury-goods and creative industries.[4] [5]
