Marksman Chinedu Ijiomah (born 28 October) is a Nigerian entrepreneur, financial analyst, civil engineer, and philanthropist.[1] He is the founder of Chinmark Group Limited, an industrial conglomerate dealing in multiple sectors, comprising over eight subsidiaries.[2]
Ijiomah is best known for his philanthropic achievements that have been highly recognized globally. He has contributed largely to major organizations and causes such as Girl - Child Education Profits, Nigerian Correctional Service Medical Outreach Program, and others.[3]
Ijiomah is the recipient of numerous awards - Sir Ahmadu Bello Sardauna Platinum Leadership Award, Pan-African Distinguished Achievers Award, and several others. He has also been recognized as an entrepreneur of the year by multiple media outlets. Ijiomah has been featured in Sun News Online, NG Opera News, Afri Post, The Top 10 Magazine, and others.[4]
Early life and education
Ijiomah was born on 28 October Ubakala, Abia state, Nigeria. He completed his high school education at the Beryl Comprehensive College Port Harcourt and he went on to receive a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Enugu State University of Science and Technology.
Later, Ijiomah received a doctorate degree in Business Administration and Management from the European-American University.[5][6]
Career
Ijiomah is the founder of Chinmark Group Limited, a leading firm that deals in real estate, agriculture, transportation, and finance with operations in six continents. The company is headquartered in Nigeria and has eight subsidiaries namely Chilmark Homes and Shelter, Chinmark Partnership and Loans, Chinmark Farms, Chinmark Rides and Logistics, Chinmark Restaurant & Foods services, Chinmark Medicals, Chinmark Consultancy, and General Contracts.[7][8][9]
Under the leadership of Ijiomah, the group also established Chinmark Homes and Shelters, becoming a recognized entity in the real estate and property development market.[10][11][12][13]
Philanthropy
Ijiomah executes his philanthropic endeavors through personal initiatives such as running a monthly empowerment scheme, sponsoring forensic research to ascertain the causes of infant mortality in some states in Northern Nigeria.[14][15][16]
In November 2020, there was a viral video of a teenager hawking water with an amazing marketing skill whom Ijiomah helped financially by buying land and building a house for the teenager's mum and also enrolling him and his siblings on a scholarship.[17][18]
Ijiomah has also developed and executed direct philanthropic aides to the Girl - Child Education Profits which caters to over 2000 female students. He has also sponsored the Nigerian Correctional Service Medical Outreach and contributed to the coordination of seminars and leadership summits aimed at raising over 10,000 leaders across various spheres of the profession. This program witnessed participants from across Nigeria.[19][20]
