Mario Wittmann stylized as " 'Fist of Buddha'"(born August 7, 1985) is a German welterweight and middleweight fighter and Reality television. His core Karate style is Kyokushin. He is a fighter in mixed martial arts organizations such as We Love MMA, German MMA Championship, and Aggrelin. He sought solace in and practiced karate and later got into kickboxing after growing up in a predominantly Muslim neighborhood with a high affinity for crime. He actively engaged in wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Muay Thai. Never resorting to criminality or the sales of contraband, he instead practiced mixed martial arts. He is one of the characters on the reality TV show Temptation Island V.I.P.[1][2],[3],[4][5][6],[7]

Mario went professional as an MMA fighter in 2012 and also founded two MMA Mundial schools in Ingolstadt and Neustadt an der Donau in Germany. He has served as a Personal trainer for Audi board members, Rappers, ice hockey players of the German ice hockey league, elite soldiers, and professional soccer players. [8]

Besides Martial Arts, Mario has been active in competitive Athletics and Swimming for 20 years using freestyle and Butterfly styles and has been city champion Ingolstadt Brust & Kraul. He is a fighter in Mixed Martial Arts organizations like We Love MMA, German MMA Championship, Aggrelin and more. [9],[10][11]

Early Life

Mario Wittmann was born on August 7th, 1985 in Ingolstadt, Germany where he started to engage in and practice martial arts in his childhood and has spent 25 years of his life as an active martial artist. He and his two siblings were raised by their mother under difficult circumstances after their father walked out on them. His jittery nature overwhelmed his mother. He grew up in a predominantly muslim neighborhood having mostly muslim friends. With a life characterized by conflict with peers and the law which he saw was not taking him anywhere, he decided to channel his aggression into full contact karate and later kick boxing.[12][13]

At the age of 19,Mario travelled to Japan, where he got immersed into Buddhist philosophy during his martial arts training in a monastery. He got a Buddha tattoo on the back of his left hand eventually leading to him getting the battle name "The Fist of Buddha".[14][15]

Career

Mario Wittmann has been figting professionally in MMA since 2012. Besides being trained and educated in martial arts in Ingolstadt, Mario was professionally trained in Japan, Russia, Ukraine, Thailand and the United States which broadedned his views and skill set as a fighter beacuse it afforded him the opportunity to train with fighters who had excelled at MMA such as Wanderlei Silva, Alexander Gustaffson and Fabricio Werdum. Mario Wittmann is currently listed in the 10th place of the German MMA Top 10.[16][17][18][19]

Mario Wittmann has collected several awards in various martial arts disciplines such as Kyokushin karate, kickboxing as well as also in athletics and swimming.
