Marian Bocek (born May 1982) is a European entrepreneur, venture capitalist and philanthropist. He co-founded asset management company IPM Group and InoBat Auto, an integrated R&D and battery production company.

Bocek attended the grammar school in Ruzomberok, Slovakia and Austintown Fitch High School in the US before continuing his studies at Oberlin College[1], where he earned his BA in Economics, and the University of Cambridge,[2] where he was awarded an MSc in Finance.

Bocek began his career at Lehman Brothers, in global mergers and acquisitions and investment banking. Prior to co-founding IPM Group, he was a director[3] of InfraMed Infrastructure, a Paris-based emerging market private equity infrastructure fund, backed by the European Investment Bank, Caisse des Depots and Cassa Depositi e Prestiti.

He frequently returns to the University of Cambridge as a lecturer and event panelist on investments in private equity, clean tech and renewable energy. Bocek is a guest speaker for FutureNow,[4] a non-profit event platform in Central Europe.

Bocek is a co-founder of the Give Back Education (GBE) Foundation,[5] which provides scholarships to talented, underprivileged students from Central Europe, giving them the opportunity to study for one year at a high school in the United States as a pathway to gaining quality university education at leading international academic institutions in Western Europe and United States.
