Marcus Buckland is a sports presenter, he currently hosts Amazon Prime Video ATP and WTA tennis coverage, and was one of the face of Sky Sports’ coverage for as long as 12-years.[1] During that period he was invaluable, and on hand to broadcast some of the most iconic moments from a golden decade in the worlds sport’s history. This includes his interviews with some of the world's biggest sports stars, such as Kevin Anderson (tennis),Andy Murray, Ernests Gulbis, and Rafael Nadal, to name a few.

Biography

Marcus Buckland born January 1967.[2] He was the main presenter on PremPlus, alongside the former Arsenal manager George Graham (footballer, born 1944), providing punditry in all matters of sport.[3] He was also a regular front-man for their cricket test matches. In March 2007 is when he started presenting as Sky's new face of tennis. That year, the network covered nine Masters series events, the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals, and the US Open.[4] Marcus began his career with the BBC and presented the first ever sports bulletin on BBC Radio 5 live on its launch day in 1994, up until 1997.[5] He also worked for Premier League Productions, voicing a variety of programmes including the Premier League highlights show.[6] He was one of their lead presenters on the Live at The Championships, Wimbledon Radio show at the Championships.[7] File:Marcus_Buckland.jpg left thumb 220x220px

Marcus joined the Amazon Prime Video team presenting the US Open (tennis) in August and the Premier League Football in December 2019. In 2020 Marcus signed a contract with Amazon Prime Video taking in major ATP and WTA events as a presenter and presented the delayed US Open in August / September 2020 and the Bercy French Tennis (Paris Masters) in Paris in unusual strict pandemic conditions.[8]

He was educated at the University of East Anglia.[9]
