Manish Vakil (born April 1, 1977) is an Indian entrepreneur.[1] He is the founder of Tumbles, a franchisor of infant and child-oriented fitness gyms and recreational centers. Vakil has over 15 years of retail operations management, financial analysis, and business development and has worked with leading companies like Open Network Systems, ADP, Weichert, Eye Level Learning, and FasTracKids Programs.[2][3]

Early life and education

Vakil was born on April 1, 1977 in Gujarat, India. He completed his graduation from Rutgers University - Newark, where he pursued a bachelor’s degree in Science, specializing in Finance.

Career

Vakil started his career in 2004 when he joined Weichert Financial Services as a financial analyst. He worked for a year at this firm in New Jersey, during which he was responsible for the report generation process, maintaining, enhancing, and updating all reports on the company’s database.[5]

In 2005 Vakil bought a FasTracKids International franchise. He worked for over four years overlooking the day-to-day operations of the facility. He also handled Marketing, staff management, vendor management, customer relationships, and responsible for P & L of the center. In the same year, he also worked at Eye Level Learning as a Multi-Unit Franchise owner.[6]

In 2007 Vakil opened his first franchise. Initially, he started with a children’s STEM education program and gradually opened two complementary businesses: a tutoring center and a kids’ gym. In 2014, Vakil founded Tumbles, a recreational company focusing on children’s child fitness and education The aim of establishing Tumbles was to address obesity and provide mental and physical development for the kids through fitness and STEAM education. Soon Tumbles became a franchisor of infant and child-oriented fitness gyms and recreational centers. Under the leadership of Vakil, Tumbles was listed in the Top 50 Healthcare Company by IFAH, Top 100 Emerging Franchises by Franchise Gator for consecutive years, and was named one of the Top 20 Franchises by Aspioneer Magazine.[7][8]

Personal life

Vakil is married to Nimisha who is a nurse practitioner. He is the father of twin boys, Sahel and Shaan. He is fluent in English, Hindi, and Gujarati.
