In addition, she is regarded as a leading intentional wellness advocate specializing in helping women transform their lives by offering coaching programs, education resources, and personal products.

Early life and education

Dr. Malini Saba was born into a middle-class family. Her immigrant parents worked tirelessly to support her and her sister and their native families, instilling in her a strong work ethic and enabling her to achieve success through sheer determination and self-assurance. As a child, she would bring clothing, food, and books to shelters and spend time there as her parents stressed the importance of compassion for those less fortunate. Having put herself through school by working part-time, babysitting, starting a cleaning service, etc., she knows what it is like to struggle for food, pay rent, and care for siblings. She wanted to make a difference in the lives of the underprivileged and earn enough money to donate to charity when she was a child.

Dr. Saba pursued a doctorate in psychology at the University of Western Australia. It wasn't in Dr. Saba's plans to be an entrepreneur; she wanted to be a successful doctor. She ultimately followed her heart to make a difference by building businesses that not only provided a living wage to her team members worldwide but also funded social issues, promoted economic growth, and provided a pathway for community members to own, build, and expand local businesses.

Career

Dr. Saba started her career in 1990 when she established Saba Group, a group of companies that primarily operate in the agriculture and mining industries, employing locals to maintain economic stability and provide jobs to communities. Saba Group operated in over 20 countries with 15 companies across 10 verticals. Since the inception of her company, Dr. Saba has gained a strong foothold in the industrial commodities markets, managing venture capital in Silicon Valley employing locals to maintain economic stability and provide jobs to communities. Under Dr. Saba's direction, Saba Group worked with a wide variety of clients, such as Cargill, BAOSTEEL Group, COFCO International, Glencore, Jindal Steel & Power, LG, and Mitsui & Co.[11]

(Dr.) Malini Saba, following over 30 years of accomplishments in the corporate world as the Founder & Former Chairman of "Saba Group," is now focusing on her philanthropic activities and issues close to her heart under the aegis of the "Anannke Foundation," which she established in 2002. Dr. Saba believes that philanthropy will have an impact if the founder of an established corporate brand becomes deeply involved with it, with an emphasis on increasing the quantity of activities and the number of people who benefit from them, rather than emphasising the participation of the corporate brand.[12][13]

As part of her research, Dr. Malini Saba continues to explore areas in need of leadership-driven intervention including new opportunities at all levels.[14]

Philanthropy

Dr. Saba is a passionate philanthropist, women’s empowerment advocate, and human rights activist. She established the Anannke Foundation with the goal of helping a billion people worldwide by improving access to nutrition, basic healthcare, education, and arts and culture. The foundation also works to empower people to break the cycle of poverty and promote human rights. The Anannke Foundation has partnered with Bill Clinton, Stanford Medical Center, CRY, Mother Teresa Foundation, the Women Refugee Commission, Concern Worldwide, the Latin American Association, the LAC + USC Medical Center, Youth for University and Voluntary Action (YUVA), the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC), etc. on these and other goals.[15][16]

Throughout her career, Dr. Saba has funded the establishment of numerous schools and healthcare facilities in the US, Africa, South America, and Asia. In addition, Dr. Saba has directed funding to multiple gender equality projects and initiatives. She has helped millions of marginalised women and children in South and Southeast Asia, Africa, South America, and the U.S. obtain access to life-saving medical treatment and educational services and ultimately achieve economic stability.
