Makawal is a small village of 815 hectares in Reodar Tehsil in Sirohi district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Makawal depends on ABU ROAD, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 115.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Makawal is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Makawal's pin code is 307026[4], and village code is 02387400. The area of Makawal is segregated as 248 hectares irrigated area, 252 hectares unirrigated, the 129 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 186 hectare area not available for cultivation.
