Madhuja Mukherjee (or Mukhopadhyay) is an Indian film scholar[1][2], writer[3] and filmmaker.[4]

Early life and education

Madhuja had studied literature and cinema at Jadavpur University. She also has formal training in sitar and Fine art. Before joining in films, she also has worked as journalist, TV program director, until she focused on academic research and completed her Doctor of Philosophyin 2008.[5][6]

Career

Currently, Madhuja works as an associate professor in Jadavpur University, Kolkata.[7][8] Her best known work includes Carnival[9][10], a visual video of truth and fiction, setting up images of Eros and Thanatos, joy and sorrow and Deep6[11][12], a narrative of a journalist who tries to fix things that appear to be stuck in the past.[13][14][15][16]
