Luke Stephens (born June 17, 1997) is an American YouTuber, streamer, gaming industry commentator, and real estate broker.[1] Stephens is best known for his long critiques of The Last of Us: Part 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and his comprehensive analysis of the Batman Arkham Series.[2]

Stephens rose to popularity in early 2021 when his prediction came true with the acquisition of Zenimax by Microsoft in a deal worth $7.5 billion. He previously worked with Greystone Unique Apartment Group as assistant director simultaneously curating YouTube content.[3]

Early life and education

Stephens was born on June 17, 1997. He is a graduate of Colorado State University and holds a degree in Corporate Finance. He is also a certified real estate broker in the state of Colorado.

Career

Stephens started in the gaming industry making speculation videos about Fallout 4 in 2015. He went on and began to make videos on other games once the game was released with serious technical faults and bugs, and even vlogged every day over the summer of 2016.

Stephens began creating long-form gaming evaluations, which he termed "critiques," in 2017 and they quickly became popular. Over the next few years, he perfected his method and began publishing large-scale assessments of popular games on a more regular basis. In the same year, Stephens simultaneously also worked as a sales specialist for Magnolia Home Theater.

Aside from that, Stephens analyzes the financial side of the sector daily, evaluating financial accounts, stocks, and market fluctuations. He has worked in commercial real estate brokerage and founded several businesses, including "It's The Lag," a gaming news and journalism website that debuted in early 2022. He left his job as an associate director for Greystone Unique Apartment Group alongside Phil Dankner, Kevin Higgins, and Marc Lippitt, in late 2021 to focus on his gaming businesses full-time.

Personal life

Stephens lives in Colorado with his wife, Niqui, and his son, Lochlan, and their two cats - Finnley and Hermione.
