Lucy Whitehill is a British campaigner. She led the April 2015 protest at Downing Street that promoted Laura Coryton's online campaign to Stop Taxing Periods that would abolish the Tampon Tax in the United Kingdom and make menstrual products exempt from VAT[1][2][3]. 2,500 protesters marched, many wearing bloodied white pants. It's slogan was 'Tampons not a necessity? Then welcome to the world where we don't wear them.[4]' Russell Howard created a viral video from the march with a focus on one placard that read 'The Taxman can suck my cl*t')[5][6].
