Lizzie Holmes is a British soprano and founder of DEBUT.[1]

Originally from Dorset[2], Holmes went to Frensham Heights School[3] and read English Literature as an undergraduate at the University of Warwick[2] before studying at the Royal College of Music[4] in London.

Before commencing her career in opera, Holmes was a founding member of the multi-award winning devised theatre ensemble Curious Directive|curious directive[5] and made her West End theatre|West End debut in The Phantom of the Opera (1986 musical)|The Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty's Theatre[6]. Most recently she has worked as a soloist with Grange Park Opera[7], Wexford Festival Opera[8], Longborough Festival Opera[9] and Raymond Gubbay. In 2019 Holmes made debuts at Barbican Hall as headline soloist for their Viennese New Year's Eve Gala and at the Royal Opera House's Crush Room.
