Lhouraii Li is an artist and internet personality.[1] She is known for her unique style[2][3] and blue skin.[4] Her first media appearance was on ‘Snog Marry Avoid’ in 2010.[5] Lhouraii Li lives in the United Kingdom. She lives on a narrowboat with partner Nathan Kent.[6][7] Lhouraii created an internet awards ceremony in 2011 for ‘Gaijin Gyaru’ which featured notable members of the Gaijin Gyaru community.[8] She hosted the series until 2014.[5] The series is now being held annually as an in-person event by varying hosts.
Agoraphobia
In 2013 Lhouraii made news as ‘The Bradford Barbie’ due to her Gyaru style.[9] [10]She has since stated that the negative reception she received from her nickname ‘Bradford Barbie’ contributed to her developing agoraphobia.
In 2015 her agoraphobia became so severe that she could no longer leave her home. She left her home for the first time since 2015 in 2020 with help from her partner (documented in Hooked on the Look).[6][11]
