Leong Chee Woh, PGB,PMW,(11 November 1929-18 July 2021) is a retired Malaysian intelligence police officer and secret agent during Communist insurgency in Malaysia (1968–1989).
Early life
Leong Chee Woh was born 11 November 1929 in Taiping, Perak. After completing his Form Five Senior Cambridge in 1949, Leong initially worked as a Taiping Town Council clerk after the Japanese Occupation, before serving as a chief clerk at the Selama police district headquarters.
Police career
Leong joined the Police force on 1 December 1950 as Probationary Inspector and underwent basic training at Police Training Center at Jalan Gurney, Kuala Lumpur. After completing his training he went to Jungle Squad(now known as General Operations Force) for training. He was the mastermind of F team, the most elite undercover task force in the Special Branch.
Death
At 18 July 2021, Leong was passed away due stroke in his residence at Seri Kembangan, Selangor[1][2]
