Laetitia Devaux is a French literary translator of many English speaking authors (bibliography below). She studied for two years in Education in France for the grandes écoles (Classe préparatoire aux grandes écoles) in France (French and English Literature, History, Geography, Philosophy), then specialized in French and English literature. She is a holder of a Master's degree (France) from Paris Diderot University and a Master of Philosophy from Trinity College Dublin in Literature both Latin honors. She began a Doctor of Philosophy on Robert Louis Stevenson Treasure Island and its translations into French[1].
She lives and works in Paris for the most prestigious French collections of foreign literature, notably Éditions Gallimard de l'Olivier, Joëlle Losfeld but also Rivages and many others. She also translates young adult's literature for Gallimard Jeunesse.
She introduces the public to her profession by meeting young people and adults[2][3][4][5]. She is considered an expert in translation and cited in circles of expertise[6].
