Mr. Krishnakumar Subramanian, the Co-founder and Promoter of Silverline Technologies Ltd. (STL), is an entrepreneur and Business magnate having vast experience in promoting and managing leading Software, Silverline, which was also India’s first software company to be listed for American depositary receipt in the New York Stock Exchange and achieving a market capital of $1.2 Billion in the BSE SENSEX.

Mr. Subramanian is currently the Chairperson and Managing director of Nextgen Animation Mediaa Ltd. (Silverline Animation Technologies Ltd.), which created India's first animated block buster feature film Hanuman (2005 film).

Biography

Kumar Subramanian was born on 11th November 1961 in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu, and raised in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He did his high school and bachelor's degree from SIES College of Commerce and Economics of the University of Mumbai.

A challenging career as a Programmer Analyst, Kumar became an entrepreneur starting his own software company providing turnkey solutions to leading Indian business houses and growing it globally to provide software development and Consultant.

Mr. Subramanian has over 3 and a half decades [1] of rich experience in managing international Information technology|IT businesses and animation. Kumar completed his bachelors in Bachelor of Science|B.Sc. Statistics from the University of Mumbai and a Diploma in Computer science|Computer Science.

Kumar Subramanian was the Vice-Chairman|Vice Chairman and Co-Founder of Silverline Technologies Ltd. [2] and currently the Founder and Chairperson|Chairman of Nextgen Animation Mediaa. Ltd. [3]

In April, 1992, a limited liability company was incorporated under the name "Silverline Industries Limited". [4] The company was promoted by Mr. Ravi Subramanian and Mr. Kumar Subramanian. Kumar served as the Executive Vice-Chairman of Silverline Technologies Ltd.

Silverline Technologies Ltd..[5], formerly known as Silverline Industries Ltd., was incorporated in April 1992 and was India's 1st company to be listed in the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and the 1st major I.T. company to be listed in the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). The company was listed in the NYSE for ADRs, which touched a market capital of $1.2 Billion in the BSE.

Silverline is a global Software development|Software Development and Information technology consulting|IT Consulting Company, also having Outsourcing|BPO practices. The company is providing end-to-end support solutions in:

Silverline Animation Technologies Ltd. (Nextgen Animation Mediaa Ltd.)

Mr. Kumar Subramanian is also the Founder and Chairman of Nextgen Animation Mediaa Ltd. [7], formerly known as Silverline Animation Technologies Ltd. (Silvertoons). [8] In 2007 Silverline Technologies, had demerged its animation division into a separate unit. The new entity, Silverline Animation Technologies, was listed on the BSE [9]

The journey began for Nextgen by winning an Animation Tool maintenance contract from Tic-Tac Toon. The opportunity matured and flourished after delivering India’s first full length 2D animation feature film Hanuman (2005 film)|Hanuman in the end of year 2005 which was India’s only “animated blockbuster feature film”.

Hanuman, won multiple awards in the cinema industry in India and globally, such as the IIFA Award, Apsara Awards|APSARA Award, Zee Cine Awards|Zee Cine Award, FICCI|FICCI Award, ToonBoom Award, and many others. Hanuman's creation is also recognized in Limca Book of Records.[10]

The business grew multi fold with series of animation projects delivered for renowned studios from United States|USA and Canada. Mr. Subramanian was instrumental in the start-up of Nextgen Animation Mediaa Ltd.

Nextgen is one of the few listed companies in Bombay Stock Exchange representing the animation industry. It's Global depository receipt|GDRs were listed in Luxemburg following a global delivery model with its presence in India, Canada, and Europe. The company has worked on numerous animation and Visual effects|VFX projects across Europe, including projects like :de:Marvi_Hämmer|Marvi Hammer, Pocket Dragons and Bearsy Bears.
