Krishna Ballesh is an Indian shehnai player, son and disciple of Pandit Dr. S. Ballesh, Krishna is disciples of World Renowned Shehnai Maestro Bharat Ratna Ustad Bismillah Khan. [1] [2] [3] [4] Tamilnadu state government honored Dr. Krishna Ballesh and his father Pandit Dr. S. Ballesh both with Tamilnadu state's highest civilian award, the Kalaimamani (Joint) award, in 2020 conferred by chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and chairman of Tamilnadu’s Iyal Isai Nataka Maanram Deva (composer), [5] [6] [7] [8] [9]

Krishna Ballesh and his father Pandit S.Ballesh were conferred with Ustad Bismillah Khan Kala Ratna Samman (Joint Award) by India Tourism Varanasi, Government of India and by Ustad Bismillah Khans family members, in 2021.[10][11]

Krishna is co founder of Tansen Academy of Music, teaches and promotes Hindustani classical music, organises National music festival in India [12] [13]
