Early life and education

Hayes was born on December 6, 1965, in Lexington, Kentucky. During his formative years, his family frequently relocated, which led him to explore various musical styles and genres. He pursued music education at the Royal Academy of Music in London and Abilene Christian University, where he honed his skills in composition and songwriting.

Career

Hayes has composed scores for numerous films and stage musicals. Some of the notable films include Virtuosity (1995), Soulkeeper (2001), Blur (2007), The Missing Link (2018), and Blood Type (2018). He has received numerous awards and accolades for his work, including seven Los Angeles Ticket Holder Awards and five LA Stage Scene Awards.[3]

Hayes is also an independent singer and songwriter. He has produced 15 albums and written music and lyrics for 15 stage musicals.[4]

He is the creator of Vox Lumiere, a unique entertainment franchise that combines live performances with silent films and augmented reality. This innovative approach has garnered extensive media attention and a dedicated international fan base. Vox Lumiere productions have toured North America and Europe and have been featured in a PBS television special.

Hayes is also known for his passion for creating distinctive and deeply emotional sonic stories using augmented reality and multi-dimensional audio storytelling. He has worked with a wide range of talent, including actor Paul Sorvino and Spanish classical guitarist Angel Romero. His current projects include "AliƧin," an immersive mashup inspired by Lewis Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland," and "King Laugh," a gothic mashup incorporating silent vampire films and the classic "Nosferatu."
