Ken Waldman is a writer and musician in Anchorage, Alaska who has published poetry, memoirs, a novel, and nine albums of original Appalachian-style music, traditional tunes, and poetry. He survived a small plane crash near Nome, Alaska in 1996[1]. Since then he has been a full time touring artist,[2] performing[3] and teaching at hundreds of theaters[4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11], galleries[12][13], festivals[14], conferences[15], colleges[16], universities[17][18], libraries[19][20] and schools,[21][22][23] including the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage[24]. Ken Waldman's shows frequently feature the folksinger Willi Carlisle.
