Karina Bautista (born April 29, 2002) is a Filipino actress. She is famous together with Aljon Mendoza in Pinoy Big Brother: Otso as the teen heartthrob of the first batch teens edition. She is popular as "The Miss Independent of Isabela", She is Batch Runner-Up of the 1st Teen Batch of Pinoy Big Brother: Otso and she got the second place.[1][2]
Personal life
Family and childhood
Bautista was born on April 29, 2002 in Santiago City, province of Isabela. She grew up with her grandparents because her father had his own first family and her mother was working in Hong Kong. At the age of 12, she left her grandparents and went to live with her aunt. Later, she went to live in an apartment as a boarder.[3]
Love life
She used to have a boyfriend but they broke up when she joined PBB. She is now single but she doesn’t want to rush things. she admitted though that she has a crush on her former housemate Aljon Mendoza who is now her screen partner.[4]
Showbiz career
She started her showbiz career in 2018 when she was accepted as a housemate in the Pinoy Big Brother: Otso, a reality show of ABS-CBN where she emerged as a finalist.[5] On September 30, 2019 after she signed her contract for ABS-CBN Corporation|ABS-CBN's Star Magic, she was first appeared on ABS-CBN's teleserye entitled Sandugo as a supporting cast together with her on-screen partner, Aljon Mendoza there.[6] In 2021, she signed up to be a talent of Rise Artists Studio, a unit of ABS-CBN’s Star Magic.[7][8]
