Kamlesh K Mishra is Indian Film Movie Director, Producer & writer. He is based in Mumbai, working independently in Audio - Visual media in Mumbai & Delhi for the past several years. After a successful and fulfilling stint in both the print and audio visual media He has now set to add another dimension in this intellectually creative journey.

Early and personal life

Kamlesh K Mishra[1] was born in Gopalganj[2], India to Late Mr. Ramesh Mishra and Late Mrs Jiya Mishra. He Studied at the Eden High School, Hathwa[3], after that he did graduation from Bihar university[4] and Post Graduation done from PG Diploma In Mass Communications, YMCA, New Delhi.

Early Career-

Kamlesh K Mishra has started his career as print journalist with NAVBHARAT TIMES[5], NEW Delhi, then after he moved to electronic media. Worked as reporter & News Editor for ANKHON DEKHI[6]. Later on he started as a freelance writer. Written more than 1000 episodes of current affairs programs, Travel Shows, Health Shows, Morning Shows and many more for DOORDARSHAN & Other satellite TV Channels. He has written so many fiction series for DOODRDARSHAN[7].

Director & Writer-

Kamlesh K Mishra is a Writer-Director of 66th National Film Award Winning film “Madhubani: The Station of Colors[8][9][10]. The film won National Film Award (Only official film award given by Govt. of India) for best narration in non - feature category.

AZAMGARH[11] is the directorial debut feature film of Kamlesh K Mishra[12]. AZAMGARH starring National Award Winning Actor Mr Pankaj Tripathi. This film is moving around the issue of terrorism. This is based on some real incidents. Kamlesh K Mishra was awarded by then Prime Minister of India Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee for the docu-film “Rahiman Pani

He is based in Mumbai, working independently in Audio - Visual media in Mumbai & Delhi for the past several years. After a successful and fulfilling stint in both the print and audio visual media He has now set to add another dimension in this intellectually creative journey. This means a foray into the world of cinema. The experience gained in the print and audio-visual media shall hold me in good stead when it comes to weaving those celluloid dreams as he believe that those visions will have a shade of socio-political awareness. The result he hopes will be thought provoking cinema, which will be entertaining too.

His First Short film titled “KITAAB” is still gaining lots of critic’s acclamation. This film has been selected in more than 40 National / International Film Festivals and received more than 20 awards in deferent categories till date. KITAAB[13] is moving around the increasing impact of electronic gadget on our book reading habits.

Kamlesh K Mishra was member of Preview Committee (World Panorama & International Competition) in Grand Golden Jubilee Edition of International Film Festival of India (IFFI)-2019 and 51th Edition of IIFI Goa too.

He was also member of Preview Committee in Bengaluru International Film Festival (BIFFs) 2019.He is member of IFTDA: (India Film & Television Directors Associations), IMPAA (Indian Motion Picture Production Association) & SWA (Screen Writer Association)
