Kamil Kavecka (born September 30,1980, Frýdek-Místek) is a Czech entrepreneur based in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 2021, Kavecka's entrepreneurial story was featured in the Czech edition of Forbes magazine[1].

Early life and education

In 2005, Kamil Kavecka graduated from the University of Ostrava with a Master's Degree in English and American Studies. During his college years Kavecka participated in Erasmus/Socrates student exchange program at VIVES University College in Belgium.

Education Technology

in 2019, Kavecka teamed up with Václav Liška[2], an Aukro founder, and launched Kideo - an EdTech English learning platform offering an American elementary education experience to European children aged 4–12. In 2020, the Czech edition of Forbes magazine put Kideo on the list of the best education apps in the country[3]. Kavecka and the team started a cooperation with Dr. Michael Carter[4], a former Steve Jobs` education advisor at Apple Inc[5] and launched Teheso, a corporate language training service connecting professional American teachers with learners around the world for real-time English immersion learning online.

Memberships

Since 2016, Kavecka has been a member of HC Olymp Prague, a charity ice hockey team founded by a popular Czech actor Martin Dejdar consisting of influential Czech personalities such as Dominik Hašek, Jiří Hrdina, Mirek Topolánek, Aleš Valenta, Milan Tichý, Sagvan Tofi, Ivan Hašek, Pavel Nový, Eva Decastelo, Kateřina Hrachovcová, Jiří Holzel and others.
