Juan Carlos Salazar Gómez is a Colombian public servant and the incoming Secretary-General of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).[1] Since May 2018, Salazar has served as Director of the Colombian Civil Aviation Authority, a presidentially appointed position.[2] It is expected for Juan Carlos Salazar to transition to the role of Secretary-General of ICAO from August 1, 2021.[3]
