John T. Woods is an American television and film actor known for his portrayal of Paul Boxer in the feature film Down and Dangerous. He also played Jason Crosby on “NCIS and Stephen Caldwell on Criminal Minds on CBS, as well as Tony Wright on House and James Bellow on 24 on FOX.[1]
Early life
Woods was born in Portland, Oregon and grew up in the suburb of Aloha, Oregon. After graduating from Westview High School in 1997 he studied Archaeology and Computer Science at Portland State University. In 1999 he transferred to UNLV in Las Vegas and switched majors to focus solely on acting. He moved to Los Angeles in 2002 after receiving a BFA in Theatre Arts.[2]
Career
Woods landed his first film in 2005 role opposite Chuck Norris in The Cutter[1]. After that, he starred in Syfy Mega Snake[3] and Zombie Strippers for Sony Pictures[4]. He would go on to appear on such TV shows as Dark Blue on TNT[5], on iCarly for Nickelodeon[5], andThe Forgotten for ABC.[1]
In 2013 he played the lead role of Paul Boxer in Down and Dangerous[6] and was featured in the horror anthology V/H/S/2.[7]
Woods is known for his on-screen deaths, having died close to 20 times on television and film.[8]
His latest project is the role of Barry Vertree in the satirical psychological horror film 'The Onania Club' from director Tom Six.[9]
