John M. Brubaker (born June 14, 1970) is an American executive coach, speaker and award-winning author of 12 books on leadership performance.

Brubaker, or "Coach Bru" as he's often known, has worked with a variety of organizations in athletics, academia, and corporate America, including the Pittsburgh Pirates, ESPN Radio, Harvard University, MIT, Fairleigh Dickinson University, University of California San Diego, Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association, The CEO Clubs, Executive-Athletes Inc, Patriot Subaru and more.

John's book Seeds of Success won The Hollywood Book Festival's Business Book of The Year in 2013.[1] Shortly thereafter the book also won 2013 Business Book of The Year in the New England Book Festival and the Southern California Book Festival. In 2015 his readers crowdfunded over $33,000 in 30 days to have his book Seeds of Success adapted to a screenplay for a major motion picture by Hollywood producer Bob Burris.[2]

In 2016, Brubaker launched Yesterday's Underdogs, an ongoing online community that provides business strategy and content for entrepreneurs and small business owners. In 2019 Brubaker founded the motivational apparel brand Chin Up Chest Out which focuses on promoting mental health and partners with mental health nonprofit organizations throughout the United States.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University, a Master of Arts degree in personnel psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and has completed his Ph.D. Candidate. coursework in Sport psychology at Temple University.

Books

Brubaker is the author of several books including the Amazon best-seller Stadium Status: Taking Your Business To The BIG TIME and his award-winning books The Coach Approach: Success Strategies From The Locker Room To The Board Room and Seeds of Success. His book Seeds of Success has been used by dozens of collegiate sports teams as a leadership guide.

Some of Brubaker's writing makes use of a pen name Coach Morgan Randall.
